Several Chelsea players will be in action for their countries during the 2026 World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States. Here is a list of the confirmed Blues travelling to North America.








These are our international call-ups so far, with more to be added as federations reveal their teams.

England

Reece James has been called up to the Three Lions’ squad, where he is set to make his first appearance at a World Cup. Our skipper has been capped 22 times by the Three Lions and was part of the England squad that reached the European Championship final in 2021.

Portugal

Pedro Neto will feature at his first World Cup, having already made 23 appearances for his country. The winger is experienced in tournament football for Portugal, having appeared at the 2024 European Championship and the 2025 Nations League Finals, during which they overcame Spain to be crowned champions.

Senegal

Defender Mamadou Sarr and forward Nicolas Jackson – the latter having spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Bayern Munich – have both been called up to the Senegalese squad. The duo were part of the Senegal squad for this year’s African Cup of Nations.
