Venus, the yacht late Apple founder Steve Jobs designed with Philippe Starck, bought in a minor accident in Naples with Woman Moura, a luxurious vessel owned by Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas Pliego.

Salinas, who’s vacationing within the Mediterranean off the coast of Italy, posted a video on X displaying Venus slowly drifting in the direction of his yacht whereas his crew frantically yelled and whistled making an attempt to forestall the collision.

“I’d wish to know what the captain and crew had been doing that they didn’t see a yacht the dimensions of mine in entrance of them,” Salinas wrote.

He urged purchasers of his Grupo Elektra retail chain to buy Apple merchandise to assist Jobs widow, Laurene Powell Jobs, pay for the “inconvenience”.

“It should take plenty of polish to get that scratch out,” Elektra shortly replied on X, with a hyperlink to its on-line store.

Jobs labored for years on the Venus design whereas already suffering from most cancers, in line with a 2014 Starck interview.
