Sifiso Dabengwa, the previous MTN Group CEO and Eskom board member, handed away on Sunday after a protracted battle with most cancers.
“With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Raymond Sifiso Dabengwa, who succumbed to most cancers this morning. Dabengwa was a titan within the telecommunications trade and an astute businessman,” Themba Sibanyoni, a spokesman for Dabengwa’s household, mentioned in an announcement.
“His tenure as CEO of MTN Group from 2011 to 2015 was marked by visionary management, integrity and dedication that drove important developments within the trade,” Sibanyoni mentioned.
Zimbabwe-born Dabengwa served on Eskom’s board from July 2018 as much as his resignation in 2020. He’s survived by his spouse and 4 kids. – © 2024 NewsCentral Media
