BTS turned the city of Las Vegas red as it began its latest citywide project as part of its “Arirang” world tour.
Dubbed “BTS The City Arirang – Las Vegas,” the event began on
Wednesday and turned major tourist spots red, the theme color of the band’s fifth and latest full-length album “Arirang.” The event also coincides with the band’s concerts in the city held over the weekend, as well as additional shows scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday.
The event marks the launch of the “Global The City 2.0″ project. The band previously rolled out the project across
major cities, offering a range of events in tandem with its performances in those locations.
“The City” project first began when BTS staged its “Permission to Dance on Stage” tour in Las Vegas in 2022.
At the time, major landmarks across the city were illuminated in purple, the signature color associated with BTS’s global fan base ARMY, and BTS-themed events — such as drone light displays, photo exhibitions and multimedia installations took place throughout the city.

The Sphere was also part of this year’s project, showcasing silhouettes of the BTS members, the logo of its latest album and messages such as “What Is Your Love Song?” Traditional Korean lanterns were strung along the venue’s exterior.
Landmarks across the Las Vegas Strip — including the High Roller, the Eiffel Tower replica at Paris Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Arches — were lit up in red, and around 30 digital billboards across the city displayed welcome messages to the band.
A six-minute fireworks show was held to the songs “Normal” and “Hooligan,” B-side tracks from “Arirang.”

A stamp tour also took place. During a stamp tour, fans receive a stamp for each location that they visit on the tour, and a certain number of stamps usually lead to rewards. As part of the event, fans rode the city’s monorail, which was painted red and featured the key message, “What Is Your ‘Arirang’?”
Additionally, culinary tours created in collaboration with various food and beverage brands will continue across Las Vegas through early June, according to BTS’s agency BigHit Music.

BTS performed at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday and Sunday as part of its “Arirang” world tour, which kicked off in Korea last month.
Over 60,000 fans flocked to the venue on the first day of the Las Vegas leg, BigHit Music said.
“This stadium holds a very special meaning for us,” the band said during one of its Las Vegas concerts. “When we held a concert here four years ago, only a limited number of people could attend because of the Covid-19 pandemic. We sincerely thank everyone who waited for us unwaveringly over the past four years.”
