Within the Democratic Republic of Congo, 3.4% of the 16,700 recorded Mpox instances have died. The federal government has introduced a response and hopes to obtain the primary vaccine doses this week. However within the meantime, medical groups are tending to increasingly contaminated individuals, notably within the east of the nation, the epicentre of the outbreak. Our correspondents report.
