Fees towards EOH corruption accused withdrawn

Fraud and corruption expenses towards former cupboard minister Zizi Kodwa and former EOH Holdings government Jehan Mackay have been withdrawn by the state.

In keeping with media stories, the costs had been withdrawn in courtroom on Friday. Information service EWN posted on X that “after reviewing their submission, the director of public prosecutions determined to drop the costs”, whereas SABC Information confirmed the case had been dropped and the 2 males had been free to go.

Kodwa had been accused of taking bribes from Mackay – the 2 are understood to be mates – in trade for presidency contracts.

The choice by the director of public prosecutions follows a authorized bid by Kodwa to have the corruption expenses towards him dropped.
