On December 1, Senegal marks the eightieth anniversary of the Thiaroye bloodbath. French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday (November 28) for the primary time acknowledged the killing of West African troopers by the French Military in 1944 as a bloodbath in a letter addressed to the Senegalese authorities.
