The Dakar Biennale of Modern African Arts is properly underway. Initially launched in 1989, the pageant is devoted to showcasing the very best of African continent’s artwork. This 12 months marks the primary time native artisans in Dakar have been invited to take part within the prestigious occasion. 5 native craftsmen have come collectively for the joint exhibition reinterpreting the theme of the hippopotamus.
