France has formally handed over its first army base in Faya-Largeau to Chad as a part of an ongoing withdrawal of French forces. This transfer follows Chad’s abrupt termination of army cooperation final month with its former colonial energy. French troops are additionally set to depart bases in Abeche and the capital N’Djamena.
