Gunfire heard close to presidency in Chad's capital N'Djamena

Bursts of gunfire have been heard close to the presidential compound in Chad’s capital N’Djamena on Wednesday night, an AFP journalist on the scene reported. Armed males have been reported to have attacked the inside of the compound whereas tanks have been noticed on the streets of the capital, and all roads resulting in the presidency have been blocked.
