A Western Cape policeman was arrested on Tuesday in reference to the Waka TV piracy syndicate. This adopted a raid by MultiChoice Group subsidiary Iderto with the Western Cape industrial crime unit.
In accordance with an announcement from MultiChoice, the police officer has been criminally charged and has been launched on bail. The corporate didn’t identify the arrested policeman.
“Regulation enforcement businesses have been instrumental in dismantling piracy networks, and we’ll proceed to work intently with them to make sure unlawful operations are disrupted,” stated Frikkie Jonker, director of broadcast and cybersecurity at Iderto.

It accused Waka TV of being a bootleg enterprise that fuels a black market that threatens jobs, companies and the artistic financial system.
