The Alabama Heathens will perform at Two Sisters Square on Saturday, May 30, at 7 p.m. with Samuel Isaac Penn. The band plays Southern rock and outlaw country music. Members include Dylan Johnson, lead vocals and rhythm guitar; Jude Roberts, lead guitar; William O’Rear, bass and vocals; and Tim Humlicek, drums.
Established in 2021, the band performs favorite covers along with original songs inspired by real-life experiences. They are known for their song “Here for the Whiskey” and for performing “sandwich” songs, beginning one song, transitioning into another and then returning to the original. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair. A suggested $10 donation will be accepted. The outdoor venue is located at 116 E. Peachtree St., Scottsboro.
The Scottsboro Public Library will host author Robert Bailey at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30, to discuss his latest book, “The Mediator.” Bailey, a Wall Street Journal bestselling author, has written multiple books. His newest thriller follows a disgraced lawyer facing a legal battle while trying to redeem herself and save her son.

The Stevenson Depot Days 2026 festival will take place June 6-13. The weeklong event begins Saturday, June 6, with a fishing tournament and community yard sale.
Live music and ice cream on Main Street will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 9. Gospel Night on Main Street will start at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 10. A comedy show in the city park is scheduled for 5 p.m. Thursday, June 11, followed by Bingo Night at 6 p.m. An auction on Main Street will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, June 12, followed by live music at 7:30 p.m.
