Human Rights Watch has accused Burkina Faso’s authorities of placing civilians at pointless threat after at the least 133 individuals had been killed and a whole lot wounded in a jihadist assault on the Barsalogho commune. The federal government, which denied the allegations, has relied closely on armed civilian militias in its efforts to defeat violent Islamist teams.
