Naspers South Africa CEO Phuthi Mahanyele-Dabengwa can be appointed as government director and serve on the boards of the JSE-listed Naspers in addition to its Amsterdam-listed subsidiary Prosus.
Her appointment to each boards is efficient 1 April 2025.
Mahanyele-Dabengwa will proceed her duties as CEO of Naspers South Africa, a task she was appointed to in July 2019.
She can be an unbiased non-executive director of Vodacom Group and Discovery Insure, and is a member of the United Nations International Compact South Africa board and of the Brics Council.
She holds a BA in economics from Rutgers College within the US and an MBA from the UK’s De Montfort College. – © 2024 NewsCentral Media
